The Auto Attendant is the automated greeting system that answers incoming calls and directs callers to the right department or extension. You can manage your Auto Attendant settings directly through the ConnectUC online portal.
Accessing the Portal
- Log in to your ConnectUC portal
- Navigate to the Auto Attendant section
- Select the Auto Attendant you want to edit
Understanding Menu Options
Your Auto Attendant may have multiple menu options (e.g., "Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support"). Each option can have its own:
- Greeting/announcement
- Destination (extension, voicemail, another menu)
- Nested sub-menus
Editing Nested Menu Options
Some menu options have additional sub-menus beneath them. For example, if pressing "4" on your main menu goes to a seasonal announcement:
- Click on the number option (e.g., "4") within the main Auto Attendant
- You'll see another greeting nested below it
- Click on that nested greeting to update or change it
Recording New Greetings
You can record new greetings directly through the portal or upload an audio file. See our separate article on Setting Up Holiday & Seasonal Greetings for detailed instructions.
